GAS & SAFETY INSPECTIONS
We carry out thorough gas and boiler safety inspections for all purposes.
It has been the law since 1998 for landlords to get a Gas Safety Certificate every twelve months as a way of protecting the welfare of tenants. This certificate will be issued after an evaluation of your property, specifically focused on appliances that use gas as a power source. Our registered engineers will carry out this inspection and the certificate will contain information about the appliances checked, the date carried out and any problems raised.
What is a Gas Safe Engineer?
A gas safe engineer is screened and undergoes rigorous testing to ensure they are qualified and competent at handling gas checks.
As Gas Safe Registered engineers, VF Heating & Plumbing will check:
All gas appliances for gas tightness
Ventilation
Flue Flow
Physical Stability and Effectiveness of Stability Brackets, where necessary
All of which will allow us to provide you with your Gas Safety Certificate.
Our gas safety inspections include checks to ensure an appliance is safe to operate.We will check:
Gas is burning correctly
Location of the appliance is suitable
Security of appliance fitting and connection to gas pipe
Air supply to the appliance
Flues and Chimneys
all safety devices work
This is different to gas safety service, which provides you with all of the above plus more detailed checks that are specific to your appliance make and model.
